Paolo Rizzo was born in 1966 in Messina, Sicily. He graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1993 with honors.
He completed his training at the studio of Mies Van der Rohe, Lohan Architects in Chicago. Back in Italy comes as junior architect at the Studio of Architecture Ignazio Gardella and working simultaneously at the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan as an assistant in the design workshops.

As a researcher conducted a study on the architecture of skyscrapers in Chicago School. He completed his training as a fellow academic winning doctorate in ArchitecturalDesign at the Faculty of Architecture of Venice. He founded his own studio in1995.

From the outset the work has focused on ways of approaching fundamental problems ofspace, proportion, light and materials, rather than on developing a set of stylistic mannerisms. He has worked on architecture at various scales, workingon several different topics. Over the years Paolo Rizzo has accrued extensive experience of the particular challenges of working within environments ofhistoric, landscape and ecological significance.

He worked in areas like retail and catering for companies such as Autogrill, Philips, Holiday & Brown and Slowear. He has worked with companies such as Itinera, Sina s.p.a. and was involved in the renovation and expansion of office buildings, as well as achievements of interiors for both residential and commercial buildings.

It also has its own line of design produced and distributed in Italy and abroad.
